the butternut squash soup was better than i could have hoped for, be warned tho when you get the soup and half sandwich combo.... the half sandwich seems closer to a full size one. prices very good, the people are friendly. well worth a stop in whenever possible. a little hidden, as you need to walk down a few stairs, but it will leave you feeling like you have found a treasure!
Excellent food and great service with a view.
This place is great been there a few times and a place to stop into. I would recommend no other place to go eat. Tobys is cold to be in and the coffee sucks. The yuppie place that is up scale up from these guys coffee and had to leave felt out of place and the waitress was rude almost left without paying for the coffee. These people are nice and very great food... a place to stop when driving through or if in oak harbor make the trip.
Very nice view. Staff was friendly. Food was so-so.
Fabulous food, service and view. Not real obvious location - don’t miss it!
This is my family's favorite choice on Whidbey Island. Small, family owned restaurant. We have tried most of the foods and desserts... all are homemade, balanced, & very tasty. If you're a coffee connoisseur, try their Thai Iced Coffee. The owner is very friendly and family-oriented, so bring your little ones, too. Even though they don't have a kids menu, many of the foods have proven to be my kids favorite. You won't leave hungry and the price is very reasonable, even for those who are on a budget. Trust me..... you will get your monies worth and feel better that you made a healthier choice than going to some grease-laden fast-food joint.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. When we walked in, there were flies and gnats flying around all over the place. Their kitchen is not closed off, so there's no way they didn't also have bugs back there. There were also dead bugs all over the window sills. The place had clearly not been cleaned it quite some time. Just as we were digging in to our meals, a wasp fell on my head. We promptly asked for boxes and explained what happened. The waiter didn't seem at all concerned about the wasp falling on my head. And they charged us full price for our meals after squishing the wasp on the table like it was nothing.
Excellent chili & cornbread
We had the mussels they were very good. The Thai basil sauce was awesome.
Great food. Ask for the spicy sauce on the side to dip the muscles into.
Delicious food, quick and courteous service.
We went in for a late lunch ( 2pm) - there was a nice window booth available so we were seated immediately. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich to split and 2 cups of tomato basil soup. Our drinks arrived quickly. After waiting a long time we asked someone if they had our order and when it would be coming out. After a full hour of waiting, we just left. It should not have taken an hour for such a simple order. We will never try this place again.
Terrible chowder, and tomato bisque! Way over priced!
Whidbey Island is the largest island in the continental U.S. and Mosquito Fleet is my favorite restaurant on this big island! Food is spectacular. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Customer service is hands down incomparable. Way to go Mosquito Fleet! Keep up the good work.
Good little downtown sandwich place. I really enjoy it, and not outrageously busy or expensive.
Wonderful friendly service, delicious and decently priced food, and a great view from the patio and windows.
Excellent chowder, squash soup and sandwiches! Very friendly but slow service. Looking forward to go back.
Great chili.
great food.
Fantastic service and views. Food is above average.
Very good made to order fresh food here. Owned by a very nice family. They cook and serve. Great watwr views while you eat. Even glass peep hole on the floor the see the waves rolling under the pier it's on.
Great view and amazing food.
Best Damm Chile ever....
I came back an hour after eating to take pictures of the seagulls from their window. The owner said "watch this," and proceeded to throw a bunch of bread outside, bringing every seagull in town into my picture. That's top-notch service. The owners are amazing, and after 15 years of coming here they've still got the best BBQ pulled pork sandwich in the northwest!
Awesome! Mussels and pulled pork are a must!!!
Very friendly attentive staff, stunning view, amazing food with a variety of healthy options that don't break the bank. Usually not crowded and has tasteful music that's not too loud.
We enjoyed the food and view from the deck. Salsa with my farmers quiche was awesome.
Good food, friendly staff.
We stop here when riding our vintage Triumphs - or to dine with friendsWhether you are looking for a fair weather outdoor deck and dine – or an indoor place of warmth and charm, the Mosquito Fleet Chile restaurant is perfect. It hosts an antique safe, old slab wood floors, and a comfortable dining experience overlooking Penn Cove and the pier. The food is fresh and cooked on site. The servers are attentive and cheerful. This is a waterfront place of casual dining where you will feel welcome the minute you walk in, and well fed when you depart. There is even a dish for dogs and cats on the outdoor deck, next to the hillside landscaping and cascading salmon sculptures made and installed by local volunteers.
Great food, nice waiter, quick service and a great view!
Nice tuna but limited beer.
They have excellent food and a nice dining area outside. They are also open 10 to 8 everyday even though google says otherwise
Hidden gem
On the water with mountain views, a comfortable seating layout with cool decorations all over, very polite staff, and incredible food!I will definitely be going back here regularly. I recommend the chili or bbq sandwich. Most meals are about $8. The portions are good so you will definitely leave full, especially if you get dessert. Highly recommend!
Great food service and views!
When in the area i go by this place to get food. I spent the last 2 nights sick over i think they changed cooks. When i ordered food i think it was made hours before and heated up and served hot. I will not ever go back to this place. Even the lemonade is pre mix and it used to be made with real lemons. My Girlfriend I took this time is a chef and could not finish her meal/sandwich also. She could only eat the chips. I fear for the people behind us who ordered the sea food. Lesson learned.
Delicious chili! Also beautiful water views. Kind service. 5 stars!!
Did tasted okay, but nothing is made fresh. I think they just microwaved it. Had their mussels and felt sick afterward.
Farmer's Pie and Asparagus Salmon Quiche were both fabulous! Bean salsà was so good we asked for a to-go order and the owner obliged. Outdoor patio was sweet and allowed dogs, pleny of tables inside -- both offering spectacular views of the water and Mt. Baker. A true gem in historic Coupeville, WA.
Good service, fresh bread, tasty apple pie with great view.
Fantastic chowder!
Wow! Delicious!! Go and eat there! You will be impress!
What a cute little spot. Everybody in our party loved our lunches. Tasty, filling sandwiches, and great clam chowder. They have high chairs and some kids books.
Most disgusting place I've ever eaten at. There were flies and nats in swarms. We decided to leave when a wasp landed on my wife's head. The window sills were covered in dead bugs and we had to sway away the bags constantly.
They serve the best appetizer of Penn Cove muscles with fresh baked bread. Very delicious!
We loved our visit! I should have taken pictures while we were there! The place is so cozy, the soups are hearty and the company makes it the place to be!!
Disappointed in the Tomato Bisque soup. More like tomato soup. Bowl of chowder over priced.
